The hotel was opened at the end of 2022. It have total 686 guest rooms equipped with large restaurants and large conference centers, daily reception is over a thousand people. Independent garbage rooms are set up at the periphery of the hotel, which are divided into three independent storage areas for dry garbage, wet garbage and recyclables. The compactor is mainly used for compression and reduction of dry garbage. Before using the compactor, about 36 barrels of dry garbage in 240L waste bin are generated every day and collected at 9:00 am the next day. The cost of removal is calculated at RMB 60 /unit, which is about 2,100 RMB per day, 63,000 RMB per month, and 750,000 RMB per year.
Through the compression of Demark VC002 bin compactor, 3 barrels of garbage can be compacted to 1.5 ~ 2 barrels, the number of bins can be reduced to about 20 barrels, and can save about RMB 300,000 per year of disposal fees. In addition, in the peak season or large banquets, the hotel does not need to add new waste bins to cope with the surge in the amount of garbage to reduce the off-season idle excess empty barrels can not be fully utilized.
